Though cervical cancer is a detectable, preventable, and curable disease, many women die due to it daily. It is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related deaths among women, worldwide, and India alone accounts for 1/3rd of these deaths. The main reason for this to happen is – no early detection of the disease due to a lack of awareness about the screening tests like Pap Smear. A Pap smear is a screening test conducted to detect cervical cancer at its earlier stage. It can easily identify any changes in the cervix and make a difference in your life.

In the same effort and to help women live a healthy and happy life ahead, Arias Hospital has organized a Free Pap smear and Colposcopy screening camp to prevent cervical cancer on 8th April 2022. This camp aims to create awareness amongst women around cervical cancer and the importance of routine Pap tests. Additionally, it serves the main purpose of detecting the early symptoms of cervical cancer so that appropriate measures can be taken to prevent or treat it.
